Abstract: This article aims to report the experience of using active methodologies as a teaching-learning strategy in higher education in health, during workshops developed with professors at a university. This is a descriptive study, of an experience report type, on the actions developed in a workshop by teachers and for higher education teachers, at a university in the city of Salvador, Bahia, during the Pedagogical Week. The activities were developed in four moments: workshop planning and theoretical support; presentation and discussion of reflections on Active Methodologies, Games and Gamification; Practical development using educational games and Gamification and, finally, evaluation of activities. It is concluded that sharing teaching experiences represents a joint effort in redefining pedagogical approaches in the higher education environment. Above all, it is considered that the implementation of innovative methodologies still requires further studies and requires greater investment in research and dissemination.
