Abstract: Introduction: The skin is responsible for various functions, protection, and regulation of the body and for this it consists of specific structures. Baby skin has some limitations compared to adult skin. The use of cleansing products and skin care from an early age are factors to be considered for healthy skin over time. However, in a more sensitive skin like baby's, aggressive agents are responsible for the appearance of pathologies. Atopic Dermatitis and Diaper Dermatitis are the most frequent pathologies in pediatrics. Objectives: To identify the age range in which these diseases, atopic dermatitis, and diaper dermatitis, mainly occur, and understand their context, as well as identify the pharmacological treatment, both topical and systemic, currently available. Material and methods: This study is a literature review. For data collection, articles with year of publication equal to or greater than 2013 were included, to obtain updated information; and the databases "Pubmed", "NCBI", "Google Schoolar" were used. Results: The use of products with the combination of compounds are a more effective option in the treatment of atopic dermatitis, improving the clinical condition faster. The safest products are generally shown to be topical corticosteroids. In diaper dermatitis, the use of barrier creams in the diaper area helps to keep the area healthy, without predisposition to eventual pathological states. These creams, whether they are composed of one or active ingredients, have been shown to be effective in mild to moderate states. In severe states the various studies recommend the use of pharmacological agents. Conclusion: More studies are still needed, with new products that cover not only the treatment but also the prevention of these pathologies, providing greater security for parents/caregivers.
