Abstract: The recognition of the fundamental rights of women is an issue of great importance, mainly in the framework of development of democratic States where these norms prevail and have broad recognition of principles, rights and guarantees. Discrimination in the workplace against pregnant women entails various situations of violence that hinder the free development of this group, hence the importance of affirming the discussion regarding the defense of the right to non-discrimination, in a structured transcendental like that of work. This work analyzes the theoretical framework regarding violence against women from a feminist perspective; later, those international instruments that protect these rights are listed; finally, it delves into the standards of rights established for the protection of women in the workplace. Finally, the analysis focuses on reflecting a reality that is quite far from what is contemplated by international regulations, since statistics show that discrimination against women in workplaces is still latent in the structures of society.
