Depressão Materna: Aplicabilidade do Inventário
As associações entre depressão materna, múltiplas variáveis do ambiente familiar e o impacto negativo para o desenvolvimento de escolares é amplamente reconhecida na literatura, carecendo de estudos que abordem a organização do cotidiano das famílias. Neste capítulo, serão apresentados dados teóricos e empíricos relativos à comparação e correlação das crenças negativas, dos padrões de organização familiar e dos indicadores comportamentais de crianças, em idade escolar, que convivem com a depressão materna e com mães sem indicadores de depressão, de modo a verificar a aplicabilidade do Inventory “Family Organization and Negative Beliefs”. Participaram 40 díades mãe-criança, distribuídas em dois grupos de mães com (G1) e sem (G2) depressão, com crianças de ambos os sexos, e idade de seis a 10 anos. Foi realizada a aplicação de questionários, entrevistas, escala e o preenchimento do Inventory “Family Organization and Negative Beliefs”. As crianças de G1 apresentaram diferenças estatísticas significativas em comparação à G2 quanto ao total de problemas e as subescalas Sintomas Emocionais e Problemas de Relacionamento. Na presença de indicadores de depressão, verificou-se em G1 a presença de mais crenças negativas e menos padrões de organização familiar em relação a G2. Constatou-se a aplicabilidade do Inventory “Family Organization and Negative Beliefs”, como instrumento que permitiu identificar as percepções diferenciadas de mães com e sem depressão quanto aos recursos de organização e as crenças negativas.

Abstract:
The associations between maternal depression, multiple variables in the family environment and the negative impact on the development of schoolchildren are widely recognized in the literature, lacking studies that address the organization of families' daily lives. In this chapter, theoretical and empirical data will be presented regarding the comparison and correlation of negative beliefs, family organization patterns and behavioral indicators of school-aged children who live with maternal depression and with mothers without depression indicators, in order to verify the applicability of the Inventory “Family Organization and Negative Beliefs”. Forty mother-child dyads participated, distributed in two groups of mothers with (G1) and without (G2) depression, with children of both sexes, aged between six and 10 years. Questionnaires, interviews, scale and filling in the Inventory “Family Organization and Negative Beliefs” were carried out. Children in G1 showed statistically significant differences compared to G2 in terms of total problems and the subscales Emotional Symptoms and Relationship Problems. In the presence of depression indicators, in G1 there was the presence of more negative beliefs and less patterns of family organization in relation to G2. The applicability of the Inventory “Family Organization and Negative Beliefs” was found, as an instrument that allowed to identify the differentiated perceptions of mothers with and without depression regarding the organization resources and negative beliefs.
