DEMARCAÇÃO DAS TERRAS INDIGENAS UMA ABORDAGEM HISTÓRICA E A PERCEPÇÃO DO POVO PURUBORÁ
O presente artigo tem por objetivo inventariar a legislação sobre a demarcação/regulamentação das terras indígenas – TI, do período colonial até a Constituição de 1988, bem como, apresentar as discussões sobre os avanços e recuos no tocante a demarcação das mesmas pós Constituição; além disso, discute o significado da terra para o povo Puruborá, que em muito difere da visão de mercado. A metodologia utilizada foi revisão bibliográfica e a História Oral Temática desenvolvida por José Carlos Sebe Bom Meihy (2005). Os resultados parciais da pesquisa apontam para um retrocesso em relação às demarcações de terras principalmente com a introdução no debate sobre o Marco Legal e o avanço dos interesses de madeireiras, mineradoras, e do agronegócio.

Abstract:
The present article aims to inventory the legislation about demarcation/regimentation of indigenous lands – IL, from Colonial period until 1988 Constitution as well as presenting the discussions on the advances and setbacks regarding their demarcation post-Constitution; further, it discusses the signification of the land for the Puruborá people, which differs greatly from the market view. The methodology used was bibliographic review and thematic oral history by José Carlos Sebe Borm Meihy (2005). The partial result of this research points to a retreat in relation to the demarcation of the land, mainly after introducing Legal Framework in the debate and the advance of interests of logging, mining, and agribusiness.
