DEMANDAS DO OPRIMIDO: NECESSIDADES EDUCATIVAS DE IDOSOS
Objetivou-se desvelar as demandas
educativas dos idosos. Tratou-se de um estudo
exploratório-descritivo de caráter qualitativo,
realizado com os idosos residentes na área de
abrangência da Estratégia Saúde da Família
da Unidade Básica de Saúde Pinheiros,
localizada no município de Maringá/PR. Os
dados foram coletados durante os meses de
janeiro a março de 2016, por meio de entrevista
semiestruturada, utilizando-se como instrumento
um roteiro elaborado pelas pesquisadoras.
Os depoimentos foram gravados e transcritos
na íntegra, a fim de respeitar a fidedignidade
dos discursos. Foram entrevistados 40 idosos
dos quais 16 eram homens e 24 mulheres. As
demandas educativas apresentadas por esses
idosos foram diversas, e dentre elas houve a
predominância de dois assuntos: Hipertensão
Arterial e Acidente Vascular Cerebral, sendo
sugeridos por três indivíduos cada um desses
assuntos. Deparou-se também com 25 idosos
que não souberam expressar nenhuma
demanda educativa. Assim, concluiu-se
que existem demandas educativas distintas
sinalizando a necessidade de práticas
educativas na Atenção Primária com temas

Abstract:
The objective was to unveil the educational demands of the elderly. This is
an exploratory and descriptive study of qualitative character, conducted with the elderly
residents in the area covered by the Family Health Strategy of the Pinheiros Basic Health
Unit, located in Maringá/PR. Data were collected from January to March 2016, through
semi-structured interviews, using as a tool a script prepared by the researchers. The
statements were recorded and fully transcribed in order to respect the reliability of the
speeches. Forty elderly people were interviewed, of which 16 were men and 24 women.
The educational demands presented by these elderly were diverse, and among them
there was the predominance of two subjects: Arterial Hypertension and Stroke, being
suggested by three individuals each of these subjects. There were also 25 elderly
people who could not express any educational demand. Thus, it was concluded that
there are distinct educational demands signaling the need for educational practices in
Primary Care with varied themes that are of interest to the population.
