DEGRADAÇÃO DE FACHADAS COM REVESTIMENTO CERÂMICO EM BRASÍLIA: ESTUDO DE CASO
O revestimento cerâmico tem como função proteger as fachadas dos agentes externos, além de melhorar o conforto térmico e acústico, prolongar a vida útil da fachada e valorizar a arquitetura da edificação. No entanto, as manifestações patológicas que acontecem em fachadas de revestimento cerâmico fazem com que as edificações não apresentem o desempenho mínimo para o qual foram projetadas expondo a alvenaria e a estrutura do edifício a outros tipos de danos mais graves. Em Brasília, DF, em particular, os edifícios com revestimentos cerâmicos sofrem muitos danos devido à grande variação térmica. Isto somado a falta de manutenção diminui a vida útil da fachada. O Fator Geral de Dano (FGD) é um modelo de cálculo que avalia as patologias por valores diferentes, enfatizando a importância de cada patologia presente na fachada. Neste trabalho, o FGD e uma curva padrão de vida útil criada pela Universidade de Brasília foram empregados para avaliar a degradação das fachadas de um edifício com grandes níveis de manifestações patológicas. Abstract:
The ceramic coating system's function is to protect the facades from external agents, in addition to improving thermal and acoustic comfort, prolonging the lifespan of the façade, and enhancing the architecture of the building. However, the pathological manifestations that occur in the ceramic coating system make that the buildings do not present the minimum performance for which they were designed, exposing the masonry and the building's structure to other more severe types of damage. In Brasilia, DF, particularly buildings with ceramic coating systems, suffers much damage due to the wide thermal variation. This, in addition to the lack of maintenance, reduces the service life of the facade. The General Damage Factor (FGD) is a calculation model that evaluates pathologies by different values, emphasizing the importance of each pathology present on the facade. In this work, the FGD and a standard service life curve created by the University of Brasilia were used to evaluate the degradation of a building's facade with high levels of pathological manifestations. It is concluded that the service life of the building is within the expected.
