DEGRAÇÃO DO MANGUEZAL E POSSIVEIS IMPACTOS NA ATIVIDADE DE CAPTURA DO GUAIAMUM, Cardisoma guanhumi, Latreielle, 1828.
O objetivo do presente trabalho foi identificar os impactos causados pela degradação do manguezal e suas consequências na coleta do guaiamum, Cardisoma guanhumi, em que serão abordadas as análises dos impactos causadas no manguezal, a importância da coleta do guaiamum para Macau-RN, atividades ambientais que podem ser elaboradas na região, os principais poluentes, dos quais se destacam a “pesca fantasma” (quando animais morrem decorrentes de enroscamento em restos de redes de pesca), falta de coleta de lixo, descarte inadequado do lixo e falta de saneamento básico. A necessidade de atividades educativas, juntamente com maior atenção do poder público voltada para a coleta de caranguejo, será de fundamental importância para a comunidade que sobrevive do ambiente manguezal. Os resultados apresentaram que estar em contato direto com a comunidade de catadores de caranguejos, orientando-os na utilização de práticas educativas no ambiente natural, será o primeiro caminho para minimizar os danos ambientais causados nos manguezais do município de Macau-RN.

Abstract:
The objective of the present work was to identify the impacts caused by mangrove degradation and its consequences on the collection of guaiamum, Cardisoma guanhumi, in which will be addressed the analyzes of the impacts caused by the mangrove, the importance of the gathering of guaiamum to Macau-RN, environmental activities that can be elaborated in the region, the main pollutants, highlighting the “ghost fishing” (when animals die from entanglement in the remains of fishing nets), lack of garbage collection, improper disposal of waste and lack of sanitation. The need for educational activities, along with greater public attention for crab collection, will be of fundamental importance to the community that survives from the mangrove environment. The results showed that being in direct contact with the community of crab pickers, guiding them in the use of educational practices in the natural environment, will be the first way to minimize the environmental damage caused in the mangroves of the municipality of Macau-RN.
