Abstract: Von Willebrand Factor (VWF) deficiency impairs platelet adhesion and the coagulation cascade, leading to varying bleeding severity. Von Willebrand Disease (VWD) is the most common hereditary coagulopathy, and its diagnosis is challenging due to fluctuating VWF plasma levels. Treatments include antifibrinolytics, VWF replacement, and recombinant therapies, effectively preventing bleeding episodes. Emerging strategies, such as aptamers and gene therapies, show promise in managing VWD. Improving diagnostic techniques and developing novel treatments are essential for a more personalized and efficient therapeutic approach.
