“DECAÍDAS”, “EMBRIAGADAS” E “RAIVOSAS”: A REPRESENTAÇÃO DA PROSTITUTA NA CIDADE DE SALVADOR (1960- 1978)
O presente artigo é uma adaptação do trabalho monográfico defendido em 2019 na Universidade do Estado da Bahia, sob orientação da Profª.Dra.Neivalda Freitas de Oliveira e se interessa por compreender as representações das meretrizes na cidade de Salvador entre os anos de 1960 a 1978. Nesse sentido, cabe problematizar as formas de prostituição nas regiões pobres da cidade, recorrendo aos registros da Delegacia Especializada em Jogos e Costumes, à documentação produzida pela Pastoral da Mulher Marginalizada e pela Fundação do Patrimônio Artístico Cultural da Bahia. As representações nas fontes policiais e nos relatórios analisados descrevem meretrizes ora raivosas e insolentes, ora ocupantes de espaços insalubres necessitadas de um resgate. Nesse caminho, compreende-se que o lugar social criado e imposto às chamadas “mundanas” é um elemento preponderante na construção do imaginário da sociedade, por estar inserido na dinâmica do baixo meretrício. Na contramarcha da invisibilização de suas trajetórias, o silêncio das fontes permitiu invocar mulheres insurgentes com mecanismos de resistência em suas relações de sociabilidades.

Abstract:
This article is an adaptation of the monographic work defended in 2019 at the State University of Bahia, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Neivalda Freitas de Oliveira and is interested in understanding the representations of harlots in the city of Salvador between the 1960s to 1978. In this sense, it is necessary to problematize the forms of prostitution in the poor regions of the city, using the records of the Specialized Police in Games and Customs, the documentation produced by the Pastoral da Mulher Marginalizada and by the Foundation for Cultural Artistic Heritage of Bahia. The representations in the police sources and in the reports analyzed describe harlots who are sometimes angry and insolent, sometimes occupants of unhealthy spaces in need of rescue. In this way, it is understood that the social place created and imposed on the so-called “mundane” is a preponderant element in the construction of society's imagery, as it is inserted in the dynamics of low meretrício. In the counter-march of the invisibility of their trajectories, the silence of the sources made it possible to invoke insurgent women with mechanisms of resistance in their relations of sociability.
