Abstract: Economic migration, environmental migration, agroecological transition, Mexico. The result of migration polarizes development in rich countries, and hinders it in underdeveloped countries. Remittances are compensation that supports family consumption, but they reveal a dependency relationship, which is proportionally greater, the more precarious the condition of the economy that expels migrants. The advanced economies have fostered the excessive consumption of natural resources without measuring their real impact; and, in addition, the production of food has been promoted by some monopolistic companies with global influence that deteriorate the environment and human health, which, together, have negative environmental consequences. This paper addresses the imperative of an effective transformation of public policy, guided by the recovery of the development process in the Mexican case; and it is pointed out that the government and the open parliament have designs that guarantee limits against environmental degradation, to have sufficient and healthy food, as well as the promotion of the reduction of compulsory migration.
