DE ESCRAVIZADO A CIDADÃO: UMA ANÁLISE DA CIDADANIA DOS NEGROS EM TEMPOS ATUAIS
O propósito da pesquisa é analisar a condição do negro escravizado nos tempos do Império no Brasil, o qual era tido como mera mercadoria, bem como a sua atual condição de cidadão, possuindo direitos e não apenas deveres. As estatísticas demonstram que a população negra tem sofrido para exercer de forma plena a sua cidadania, visto que os seus direitos têm sido negados e continuam a ser marginalizados tanto pelo Estado como pela sociedade, configurando assim um racismo advindo desde a época do Império, contribuindo significativamente para uma permanente desvalorização do cidadão negro. A metodologia está delineada pelo estudo histórico, de caráter dedutivo. O estudo contribui para reflexão sobre a vivência da população negra no território brasileiro e os mecanismos para efetiva valorização desta população, a qual contribui com o crescimento cultural e econômico da nação.

Abstract:
The purpose of the research is to analyze the condition of black enslaved in the times of the Empire in Brazil, which was considered as a mere commodity, as well as its current status as a citizen, possessing rights and not just duties. Statistics show that the black population has suffered to fully exercise their citizenship, as their rights have been denied and continue to be marginalized by both the state and society, thus constituting a racism arising from the time of the Empire, contributing significantly to a permanent devaluation of the black citizen. The methodology is outlined by the deductive historical study. The study contributes to reflection on the experience of the black population in the Brazilian territory and the mechanisms for effective valorization of this population, which contributes to the cultural and economic growth of the nation.
