DAVID HARVEY: O GEÓGRAFO MAIS CITADO DO MUNDO
Este artigo tem como tema “David Harvey: O Geógrafo Mais Citado do Mundo”. O problema de investigação apareceu na tentativa de procurar responder aos seguintes questionamentos: Por que David Harvey é o Geógrafo mais citado em livros e artigos acadêmicos no mundo? O que ele apresenta de tão especial em suas obras? Para tentar responder esta questão levantou-se a seguinte hipótese: A relevância dos estudos de David Harvey está na análise que ele faz sobre “A Produção Capitalista do Espaço”, na sua tentativa de explicar “A Loucura da Razão Econômica” e os “Sentidos do Mundo”. O objetivo geral deste artigo consiste em estudar o pensamento de David Harvey sobre o Capital dentro do “Novo Imperialismo” e do “Neoliberalismo”. E os específicos: Compreender a “Condição Pós-Moderna” e seus desdobramentos na atualidade; pensar sobre as sete esferas de atividade na trajetória evolutiva do Capitalismo dentro do “Enigma do Capital”; e entender sobre as “17 Contradições e o Fim do Capitalismo”. A relevância do estudo está em perceber que David Harvey – grande pesquisador das teorias de Karl Marx - apresenta um diferencial dentro da Geografia Crítica, apreendendo que a geografia do mundo não é fixa e está em constante transformação.

Abstract:
This article has the theme “David Harvey: The Most Cited Geographer in the World”. The research problem appeared in an attempt to answer the following questions: Why is David Harvey the most cited geographer in academic books and articles in the world? What is so special about his works? To try to answer this question, the following hypothesis was raised: The relevance of David Harvey's studies lies in his analysis of “The Capitalist Production of Space”, in his attempt to explain “The Madness of Economic Reason” and the “Senses of the World". The general objective of this article is to study David Harvey's thinking about Capital within the "New Imperialism" and "Neoliberalism". And the specifics: Understand the “Post-Modern Condition” and its unfolding today; think about the seven spheres of activity in the evolutionary trajectory of Capitalism within the “Enigma of Capital”; and understand about the “17 Contradictions and the End of Capitalism”. The relevance of the study is to realize that David Harvey - great researcher of Karl Marx's theories - presents a differential within Critical Geography, apprehending that the geography of the world is not fixed and is in constant transformation.
