Abstract: Fractal analysis, describes complex geometric structures and has been applied in the diagnosis of pathologies, including cancer, Alzheimer’s, and cardiovascular diseases. Fractal dimension quantifies tissue complexity, aiding in the identification of abnormal patterns in medical images and improving diagnostic accuracy. Methods such as Box-Counting are used to calculate fractal dimension, providing insights into the morphology of cells and blood vessels. This technique has proven promising in the early detection and classification of diseases, potentially transforming clinical practice by providing detailed and quantitative analysis of biological structures.
