DA LUTA POR DIREITOS AO EXERCÍCIO DA CIDADANIA: EMBATES E DISCUSSÕES DE GÊNERO E SEXUALIDADE NA BAIXA MOGIANA
Este relato de experiência busca discorrer – por meio da apresentação de documentos e imagens - sobre a formação da comissão organizadora dos “Seminários da diversidade sexual e combate à homofobia”, realizados anualmente no município de Mogi Guaçu, interior do Estado de São Paulo, em parceria com instituições educativas e jurídicas. Neste relato, destacam-se as condições políticas nacionais e municipais que possibilitaram a articulação entre homens e mulheres, profissionais de diversas áreas do conhecimento, como: direito, psicologia, educação e políticas públicas no combate a discriminação de gênero e sexualidade. Também se aborda os reflexos destas iniciativas para a educação pública de Mogi Guaçu (SP) e de outras cidades na região, uma vez que tais ações passaram a colaborar com a formação de professores/as e dos alunos/as do ensino fundamental e médio nestas temáticas, por meio do convite de palestras, rodas de conversas, debates e participação em eventos de coletivos LGBT´s, como os saraus.

Abstract:
This experience report seeks to discuss - through the presentation of documents and images - on the formation of the organizing committee of the “Seminars on sexual diversity and combating homophobia”, held annually in the municipality of Mogi Guaçu, in the interior of the State of São Paulo, in partnership with educational and legal institutions. In this report, the national and municipal political conditions that enabled the articulation between men and women, professionals from different areas of knowledge, such as: law, psychology, education and public policies to combat gender and sexuality discrimination stand out. It also addresses the reflexes of these initiatives for public education in Mogi Guaçu (SP) and other cities in the region, since these actions started to collaborate with the training of teachers and students of elementary and high school in these thematic, through the invitation of lectures, conversation circles, debates and participation in events of LGBT collectives, such as soirees.
