Abstract: The translation of knowledge, in the healthcare area, plays a crucial role in the practical application of the results of scientific research to benefit clients and society. The need for a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to knowledge translation is discussed, involving different stakeholders, from researchers, health professionals, managers, and clients. It is noteworthy that knowledge translation is not a linear process, requiring the consideration of several contextual factors for successful implementation. Dissemination, implementation, and training strategies are elementary to promoting a culture of reflective practice based on scientific evidence. Additionally, the growing relevance of digital transformation in healthcare is explored, offering new opportunities for knowledge translation. Digitization enables the rapid dissemination of information, facilitates collaboration between professionals and communities, and offers new ways of delivering healthcare, such as telemedicine and the use of connected medical devices. On the other hand, the challenges associated with digital transformation are also discussed, especially regarding cybersecurity and the protection of customer data. The importance of ensuring information security is highlighted to promote effective knowledge translation in the digital era. The translation of knowledge in healthcare is necessary to drive innovation, improve healthcare and promote the well-being of the population. By adopting a collaborative approach and investing in digital transformation securely and responsibly, it is possible to maximise the impact of scientific knowledge and ensure that it is used effectively for the benefit of all.
