CURSOS DE LICENCIATURA NA REDE FEDERAL DE EDUCAÇÃO PROFISSIONAL? A FORMAÇÃO DE PROFESSORES NOS INSTITUTOS FEDERAIS

Este trabalho é parte de uma pesquisa em andamento que investiga a

implementação dos cursos de licenciatura no Instituto Federal do Tocantins visando

identificar a configuração da política institucional de formação de professores

adotada por essa instituição e desvelar a concepção de formação de professores da

Rede Federal de Educação Profissional. A pesquisa está sendo pautada em estudos

bibliográficos, documental e de campo com alunos, professores e gestores, com a

finalidade de compreender o ciclo dessa política. Como resultados provisórios, os

estudos apontam a necessidade de refletir sobre a formação de professores ofertada

nos institutos federais para que esses cursos não se reduzam à formação do

especialista da área do conhecimento, em detrimento da formação pedagógica.

Abstract:
This study is part of a research in course which investigates the

implementation of teachers’ training graduate courses at the Federal Institute of

Education, Science and Technology of Tocantins. It aims to identify the policies this

institution adopts regarding teachers’ education and to reveal the conception of

teachers’ education of the Federal Professional Education network. It lays on

literature review, document research and field research with undergraduate

students, professors and managers, directed to understand the cycle of the policies

mentioned before. Interim results show the need to reflect about teachers’ education

offered by the institution in this network in order for the teachers’ graduate courses

not be reduced to train specialists in an area of knowledge, to the detriment of proper

pedagogical training.
