CULTURA E SAÚDE: UMA EXPERIÊNCIA DIALÓGICA EM HOMEOPATIA POPULAR
Investiga-se os temas de educação popular em saúde com o de cultura e
saberes tradicionais nas ações desenvolvidas pelo terceiro setor no município de
Altaneira, CE, apresentando como recorte temático um modelo de promoção da
saúde pautado na Homeopatia. Esta, embora sendo um modelo terapêutico
concebido sob os preceitos de uma ciência positiva há mais de 200 anos, desde sua
origem ultrapassou as limitações epistemológicas de seu campo, possibilitando uma
autonomia deste modelo frente à racionalidade hegemônica dos saberes médicos
estabelecidos e até então propagados de forma hierárquica e excludente. Como
procedimentos metodológicos buscou-se fazer uma revisão de literatura sobre
educação popular em saúde, saberes tradicionais; visitas à cidade de Altaneira-CE e
entrevistas para verificar a inserção da homeopatia nesta cidade. Como primeiros
achados da pesquisa, identificou-se que por meio da educação popular freiriana, a
Homeopatia Popular começou a ser inserida no municio e circunvizinhanças,
suscitando neste estudo um novo olhar sobre as distintas dinâmicas de práticas em
saúde tradicionais, alternativas e científicas. Tem-se como resultados uma
ampliação do olhar sobre a articulação de categorias como educação, saúde,
saberes formais e não formais, cultura e o potencial da articulação desses
arcabouços que poderão ser observados a partir das mudanças comportamentais de
sua população retratada, no tocante à saúde.

Abstract:
This is an investigation on the issues of popular education on health along
with culture and traditional knowledge addressed in the actions developed by the
third sector in the town of Altaneira, State of Ceará, having as a thematic framework,
a model of health promotion based on Homeopathy. Although it was a therapeutic
model conceived under the precepts of a positive science over 200 years ago, since
its origin it has surpassed the epistemological limitations of its field, allowing an
autonomy of this model in face of the hegemonic rationality of established medical
knowledge, which has been propagated in a hierarchical and excluding manner to
this day. As methodological procedures, we sought to review the literature on popular
education in health, and traditional knowledge; visits to the town of Altaneira - Ceará
and interviews to assess the insertion of homeopathy in the town. The first findings
on the research identified that through popular Freirian education, Popular
Homeopathy began to be inserted in the town and its surroundings, eliciting, on this
study, a new look at the different dynamics of traditional, alternative and scientific
health practices. As a result, there is a broadening view on the articulation of
categories such as education, health, formal and non-formal knowledge, culture and
the potential of the articulation of these frameworks that can be observed from the
behavioral changes of its portrayed population, regarding health issues.
