CULTURA E REGILIGIOSIDADE POPULAR, CONGADA EM ANGICAL: BREVE DISCUSSÃO
O objetivo do presente texto foi discutir conceitos de cultura e religiosidade popular para apresentar a Congada como manifestação cultural que se mantém viva na cidade de Angical localizada na Região Oeste da Bahia. A discussão sobre a religiosidade popular é trabalhada pelo viés do sincretismo e das práticas religiosas. Fundamenta-se a pesquisa pelas Ciências da Religião, Sociais, Artes e História. Na condução da pesquisa, a religião popular possui função social. Os resultados obtidos sobre a Congada na localidade, contou com a contribuição oral das famílias que participam dos festejos e de uma professora de Artes Visuais. A partir dos relatos se observou a permanência do rito como fenômeno religioso, ele assegura a memória da escravidão e os anseios de liberdade e defesa da cultura africana. Destaca-se que é apenas uma breve abordagem, uma pesquisa em construção.

Abstract:
The aim of this text was to discuss concepts of popular culture and religiosity to present Congada as a cultural manifestation that remains alive in the city of Angical located in the West Region of Bahia. The discussion about popular religiosity is worked through the bias of syncretism and religious practices. Research on Religion, Social Sciences, Arts and History is based. In conducting the research, popular religion has a social function. The results obtained about Congada in the locality, counted on the oral contribution of the families that participate in the festivities and of a teacher of Visual Arts. From the reports it was observed that the rite remains as a religious phenomenon, it ensures the memory of slavery and the yearnings for freedom and defense of African culture. It is noteworthy that it is only a brief approach, a research under construction.
