CUIDADOS PALIATIVOS: SIGNIFICADO DA DOR NA PERCEPÇÃO DO ENFERMEIRO
No âmbito dos cuidados paliativos,
o ato de cuidar é considerado uma atividade
que requer atenção com aqueles pacientes
mais fragilizados, o cuidado é muito importante,
pois sem ele o ser humano não sobreviveria.
O objetivo do presente estudo foi analisar
a percepção do enfermeiro acerca da dor vivenciada pelos pacientes em cuidados
paliativos. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo com abordagem qualitativa. Os resultados
foram apresentados e discutidos segundo o Método de Interpretação de Sentidos,
a partir da estruturação de quatro temas: Significado de cuidados paliativos para os
enfermeiros; Significado e Sentido da dor na visão dos enfermeiros; Estratégias de
cuidados paliativos e humanização utilizada pela equipe de enfermagem. Na visão dos
enfermeiros entrevistados o cuidar tem um significado importante e essencial para o
paciente paliativo. Tendo como objetivo amenizar o sofrimento dos pacientes, com isso
oferecer um conforto e uma melhor qualidade de vida, a equipe deve ser preparada
para lidar com a doença e o sofrimento psíquico dos pacientes. O grande desafio
dos enfermeiros é cuidar do ser humano na sua totalidade, exercendo uma ação
preferencial mediante a sua dor e seu sofrimento, nas dimensões físicas, psíquicas,
social e espiritual, com competência tecno-científica e humana.

Abstract:
In palliative care, the act of caring is considered an activity that requires
attention with those patients more fragile, care is very important, because without it
the human being would not survive. The objective of the present study was to analyze
the nurses' perception about pain experienced by patients in palliative care. This
is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The results were presented and
discussed according to the Method of Interpretation of Senses, from the structuring
of four themes: Meaning of palliative care for nurses; Meaning and Sense of pain in
nurses' vision; Strategies of palliative care and humanization used by the nursing team.
In the view of the nurses interviewed, caring has an important and essential meaning
for the palliative patient. Aiming to ease the suffering of patients, thereby providing
comfort and a better quality of life, the team should be prepared to deal with patients'
illness and psychic suffering. The great challenge for nurses is to care for the human
being in his totality, exercising a preferential action through his pain and suffering, in
the physical, psychic, social and spiritual dimensions, with techno-scientific and human
competence.
