CUIDADOS PALIATIVOS: O CUIDAR DO SERVIÇO SOCIAL
Disserta-se sobre o processo de
cuidado no final da vida, tendo como parâmetro
a intensa troca de saberes entre os membros
das equipes de paliativistas e, em especial, o
Serviço Social tendo como lócus privilegiado o
cotidiano onde circulam todos os dias milhares
de pessoas anônimas com suas dúvidas e
dores. Considera-se, a partir da delimitação do
campo específico de intervenção do assistente
social, o atendimento as requisições por parte
dos usuários e suas famílias, da equipe e do
processo de integração da rede de suporte
em Cuidados Paliativos. Trata-se de uma
pesquisa bibliográfica entremeando o uso de
revisão integrativa com a análise temática de
conteúdo, com ênfase na literatura dos últimos
cinco anos. Realizou-se uma busca ativa no
Portal de Periódicos da CAPES, BIREME
(Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde) e MEDLINE
(Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval
System Online). Detectou-se a necessidade de
atenção especial às populações em estado de
pobreza ou de indigência. Alerta-se, ainda, para
o necessário desenvolvimento de pesquisas
estratégicas que tem como finalidade atingir e
manter níveis adequados de efetividade nos
serviços ofertados.

Abstract:
The process of care at the end of life
is discussed, having as a parameter the intense
exchange of knowledge between the members
of the palliative teams and, in particular, the
Social Service as a privileged locus the daily
life where thousands of anonymous people
circulate every day with their doubts and pains.
It is considered, based on the delimitation of the
specific field of intervention of the social worker,
the attendance to requests by the users and their
families, the team and the process of integration
of the support network in Palliative Care.
It is a bibliographic research, interspersing
the use of integrative revision with thematic analysis of content, with emphasis in
the literature of the last five years. An active search was carried out in the Portal of
Periodicals of CAPES, BIREME (Virtual Health Library) and MEDLINE (Medical
Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online). The need for special attention was
detected for populations in a state of poverty or indigence. Suggested is to the necessary
development of strategic research that aims to achieve and maintain adequate levels
of effectiveness in the services offered.
