CUIDADOS PALIATIVOS EM ONCOLOGIA PEDIÁTRICA: ATRIBUIÇÕES DO ENFERMEIRO
INTRODUÇAO: O câncer infanto-juvenil é um conjunto de neoplasias que acomete indivíduos de 0 a 19 anos de idade Esta patologia ao ser diagnosticada, necessita de tratamento e cuidados diferenciados, como o cuidado paliativo, que tem o intuito de promover alívio do sofrimento e a melhoria da qualidade de vida da criança e da família. Onde o enfermeiro atua como o profissional mediador do cuidado ao paciente, justificando a necessidade de compreender as competências deste profissional diante o processo do cuidado paliativo à paciente oncológico pediátrico. OBJETIVO: Identificar o que as literaturas trazem sobre a assistência do enfermeiro na realização do cuidado paliativo em oncologia pediátrica. RESULTADOS: A assistência de enfermagem em oncologia pediátrica baseia-se na singularidade da criança, proporcionando sempre o bem-estar físico, psicológico e social desses indivíduos, como controle dos sintomas e alivio da dor. O enfermeiro atua não mais buscando o curar, mas sim o cuidar de forma holística e humanística, estabelecendo vínculos e estreitando a relação enfermeiro-paciente-família. O profissional enfermeiro é também um educador, capacitando os membros da equipe através da educação continuada, objetivando a assistência de qualidade, de forma planejada e sistematizada, garantindo a criança o máximo possível de desfrute do conforto e bem-estar durante a internação, até o momento do luto. CONSIDERAÇÕES: A atuação do enfermeiro quanto aos cuidados paliativos na oncologia pediátrica é pautada na assistência humanizada e holística, atendendo as necessidades físicas, psicológicas e sociais da criança e da família, proporcionando-lhes conforto e bem-estar por meio do alívio da dor, controle dos sintomas, diminuindo o sofrimento, além de oferecer apoio à criança e a família no intuito de ressignificar a morte tornando ela menos dolorosa e patológica.

Abstract:
INTRODUCTION: Infantile-juvenile cancer is a set of neoplasms that affects individuals from 0 to 19 years of age. This pathology, when diagnosed, requires differentiated treatment and care, such as palliative care, which aims to promote relief of suffering and improving the quality of life of the child and the family. Where the nurse acts as the professional mediator of patient care, justifying the need to understand the skills of this professional in the face of the palliative care process for pediatric cancer patients. OBJECTIVE: To identify what the literature brings about the nurse's assistance in carrying out palliative care in pediatric oncology. RESULTS: Nursing care in pediatric oncology is based on the child's uniqueness, always providing the physical, psychological and social well-being of these individuals, such as symptom control and pain relief. The nurse does not seek to cure him anymore, but to take care in a holistic and humanistic way, establishing bonds and strengthening the nurse-patient-family relationship. The professional nurse is also an educator, training team members through continuing education, aiming at quality care, in a planned and systematized way, ensuring the child as much as possible to enjoy comfort and well-being during hospitalization, until the mourning. CONSIDERATIONS: The role of nurses in palliative care in pediatric oncology is based on humanized and holistic care, meeting the physical, psychological and social needs of the child and family, providing them with comfort and well-being through pain relief, control symptoms, reducing suffering, in addition to offering support to the child and family in order to reframe death by making it less painful and pathological.
