CUIDADOS PALIATIVOS DE ENFERMAGEM AO PACIENTE ONCOLÓGICO EM ESTÁGIO TERMINAL: UMA REVISÃO DE LITERATURA
INTRODUÇÃO: O câncer é uma doença crônica e progressiva que causa dor física, emocional e espiritual intensas. Os cuidados paliativos constituem um campo interdisciplinar de cuidados totais, ativos e integrais, destinados a melhorar a qualidade de vida do paciente e dos seus familiares, por meio de avaliação correta e tratamento adequado, desde o diagnóstico de uma doença incurável até o período de luto da família. OBJETIVO: Verificar a atuação da enfermagem nos cuidados paliativos frente ao paciente oncológico em estágio terminal. METODOLOGIA: Realizou-se um levantamento bibliográfico utilizando como base de coleta de dados Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) e Scientific Eletronic Library Online (SCIELO), em outubro de 2019. Foram utilizados os seguintes descritores: Cuidados paliativos, Enfermagem, Oncologia e Paciente terminal. Considerou-se como critérios de inclusão: artigos publicados nos últimos 10 anos, textos completos disponíveis na íntegra, idioma português e relevância da temática e como critérios de exclusão artigos repetidos e que não focaram no tema exposto. RESULTADOS E DISCUSSÃO: Os cuidados paliativos direcionados aos pacientes oncológicos terminais visam priorizar a dignidade e valorizar os doentes de forma humanizada e holística. O profissional deve respeitar as limitações dos pacientes e estar habilitado a detectar sinais e sintomas e intervir precocemente a abordagem paliativa permitindo a promoção do alívio da dor e outros sintomas, preservando a vida e percebendo a morte como um processo natural, sem, no entanto, antecipar a morte nem tampouco prolongar desnecessariamente o estágio terminal, mas, integrando aos seus cuidados aspectos psicossociais e espirituais, e oferecer suporte a família durante todo o processo da doença. CONCLUSÃO: O enfermeiro é essencial no atendimento e cuidado aos pacientes terminais, tendo assim o compromisso e responsabilidade de ouvir e compreender melhor as necessidades dos mesmos, proporcionando-lhes apoio, compreensão e afetividade no enfrentamento da doença e consequentemente terminalidade.

Abstract:
INTRODUCTION: Cancer is a chronic and progressive disease that causes intense physical, emotional and spiritual pain. Palliative care is an interdisciplinary field of total, active and comprehensive care, aimed at improving the quality of life of the patient and his family, through correct assessment and appropriate treatment, from the diagnosis of an incurable disease to the period of mourning of the family. OBJECTIVE: To verify the role of nursing in palliative care in the face of terminally ill cancer patients. METHODOLOGY: A bibliographic survey was carried out using the Virtual Health Library (VHL) and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) data collection database in October 2019. The following descriptors were used: Palliative Care, Nursing, Oncology and Patient terminal. Inclusion criteria were considered: articles published in the last 10 years, full texts available in full, Portuguese language and relevance of the theme and as exclusion criteria repeated articles that did not focus on the exposed theme. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: Palliative care aimed at terminal cancer patients aims to prioritize dignity and value patients in a humanized and holistic way. The professional must respect the limitations of the patients and be able to detect signs and symptoms and intervene early in the palliative approach allowing the promotion of pain relief and other symptoms, preserving life and perceiving death as a natural process, without, however, anticipating death or extending the terminal stage unnecessarily, but integrating psychosocial and spiritual aspects into their care, and offering support to the family throughout the disease process. CONCLUSION: Nurses are essential in the care and care of terminal patients, thus having the commitment and responsibility to listen and better understand their needs, providing them with support, understanding and affection in coping with the disease and consequently terminality.
