CUIDADOS DE SAÚDE E HIGIENE PARA ADOLESCENTES E JOVENS COM NECESSIDADES ESPECIAIS: RELATO DE EXTENSÃO
Objetiva-se relatar a experiência de atividades extensionistas acerca de cuidados de higiene e saúde realizadas para adolescentes e jovens com necessidades especiais em uma escola da Associação de Pais e Amigos dos Excepcionais (APAE). Trata-se de um relato de experiência referente a um Projeto de Extensão com ações realizadas na escola de uma APAE localizada na região noroeste do Sul do Brasil. Participaram da ação estudantes do curso de graduação em enfermagem, a coordenadora do projeto e 12 adolescentes/jovens com necessidades especiais. Utilizou-se ferramentas lúdicas e objetos visuais que pudessem simbolizar os itens de higiene. Os adolescentes e jovens foram receptivos, participaram ativamente da construção do conhecimento. Os métodos lúdicos utilizados possibilitaram maior interação entre o educador e público-alvo, possibilitando a troca de saberes. As atividades de extensão possibilitam o desenvolvimento do conhecimento a partir do conhecimento de diferentes contextos de saúde, possibilitando a adaptação de novas atividades. Por fim, evidencia-se a importância de ações extensionistas com essa clientela, pois possibilita a construção de novos saberes em saúde os quais repercutem positivamente na saúde e em prol da autonomia para o cuidado.

Abstract:
The objective is to report the experience of extension activities about hygiene and health care carried out for adolescents and young people with special needs in a school of the Association of Parents and Friends of the Exceptional (APAE). This is an experience report referring to an Extension Project with actions carried out in the school of an APAE located in the northwest region of southern Brazil. Students from the undergraduate nursing course, the project coordinator and 12 adolescents/young people with special needs participated in the action. Playful tools and visual objects that could symbolize hygiene items were used. The adolescents and young people were receptive, actively participating in the construction of knowledge. The playful methods used enabled greater interaction between the educator and the target audience, enabling the exchange of knowledge. Extension activities enable the development of knowledge based on knowledge of different health contexts, enabling the adaptation of new activities. Finally, the importance of extension actions with this clientele is highlighted, as it enables the construction of new knowledge in health, which has a positive impact on health and in favor of autonomy for care.
