Abstract: The Human Immunodeficiency Virus is a virus that attacks and destroys cells of the immune system, especially CD4+ T lymphocytes. As the virus destroys these cells, the immune system weakens and the infected person becomes more susceptible to infection. Objective: To apply the Nursing Care Process in Pregnant Women with HIV with scientific bases, based on the theory of Jean Watson Methodology: The present investigation is framed in a qualitative investigation with a descriptive approach, carried out in a real scenario of the Guasmo Sur General Hospital of Guayaquil. A bibliographic search was carried out in various databases, such as Scielo, Latindex, Dialnet, Google academic using different search strings focused on the topic and published in the last 5 years. Conclusions: The process of nursing care in pregnant women with HIV is of great importance both from a scientific and contemporary point of view, since it seeks to improve the quality of life of these women and prevent the vertical transmission of HIV to their babies. The application of Jean Watson's theory in the care of these women can be of great help in providing holistic, humanized and empathetic care. Recommendations: The WHO recommendations emphasize the importance of early detection of HIV, appropriate treatment, emotional support, treatment of related infections, and informed decision-making by women with HIV.
