CUIDADO FARMACÊUTICO NAS INTOXICAÇÕES
O farmacêutico no âmbito hospitalar é indispensável. É evidente o aumento desse profissional nos diversos serviços de saúde, seja na farmácia hospitalar ou na clínica. Esse estudo objetivou revisar na literatura científica os benefícios do cuidado farmacêutico hospitalar aos pacientes com quadros de intoxicações. O estudo mostrou que o Brasil tem grandes índices de intoxicações. De acordo com dados do Sistema Nacional de Informações Tóxico-Farmacológicas (SINITOX), nos últimos anos, os medicamentos ocuparam o primeiro lugar no ranking de intoxicações. Para a prevenção desses desfechos, o farmacêutico contribui na segurança dos pacientes, na escolha da terapia medicamentosa, no controle das reações adversas, auxiliando no monitoramento dos exames laboratoriais e no diagnóstico das intoxicações, participando efetivamente de uma equipe multiprofissional no tratamento das intoxicações. Diante disso, a prática do cuidado farmacêutico se mostra essencial na promoção de estratégias, visando informar a população sobre o uso racional de tecnologias em saúde.

Abstract:
The pharmacist in the hospital environment is indispensable. It is evident the increase of this professional in the various health services, whether in the hospital pharmacy or in the clinic. This study aimed to review the scientific literature on the benefits of hospital pharmaceutical care for patients with intoxication conditions. The study showed that Brazil has high rates of poisoning. According to data from the National System of Toxic-Pharmacological Information (SINITOX), in recent years, drugs have occupied the first place in the ranking of intoxications. For the prevention of these outcomes, the pharmacist contributes to patient safety, to the choice of drug therapy, to the control of adverse reactions, helping in the monitoring of laboratory tests and in the diagnosis of intoxications, effectively participating in a multidisciplinary team in the treatment of intoxications. Therefore, the practice of pharmaceutical care is essential in the promotion of strategies aimed at informing the population about the rational use of health technologies.
