CRIMINALIZAÇÃO DA POBREZA E DOS MOVIMENTOS SOCIAIS - O POBRE COMO UM INIMIGO DA SOCIEDADE
O presente trabalho teve como tema gerador a Criminalização da Pobreza e dos Movimentos Sociais cujo objetivo foi demonstrar que tais fenômenos não são exclusivos das sociedades contemporâneas. Assim, buscou-se analisar, ainda que de forma breve, a constante criminalização da pobreza e estigmatização do pobre, considerando seus aspectos econômico, social e jurídico. Além disso, buscou-se também inferir a importância dos movimentos sociais nesse contexto de mitigação da participação político-social das classes marginalizadas, assim como a repressão dos mesmos por parte do Estado e do Direito com o fim de preservar um conceito abstrato de manutenção da ordem, revelando assim o autoritarismo ainda predominante no sistema penal.

Abstract:
The present work had as its generating theme the Criminalization of Poverty and Social Movements whose objective was to demonstrate that such phenomena are not exclusive to contemporary societies. Thus, we sought to analyze, albeit briefly, the constant criminalization of poverty and stigmatization of the poor, considering its economic, social and legal aspects. In addition, it also sought to infer the importance of social movements in this context of mitigating the political and social participation of marginalized classes, as well as their repression by the State and the Law in order to preserve an abstract concept of maintaining order, thus revealing the authoritarianism still prevalent in the penal system.
