CRIANÇAS DA NOVA ERA - UMA VISÃO DA PSICOLOGIA DO DESENVOLVIMENTO E DA EDUCAÇÃO
Este trabalho pretende tratar de
um tema que gera interesse por determinado
segmento da população, mas que também
é polêmico para a comunidade acadêmica.
Procura relacionar transversalmente as
questões que estão associadas aos atributos
socioemocionais de crianças da chamada
Nova Era, denominadas Índigo e Cristal,
às questões ligadas ao temperamento e
personalidade infantis fundamentadas na
psicologia do desenvolvimento humano,
tecendo considerações quanto ao papel dos
educadores no desenvolvimento dessas
crianças. O estudo foi realizado por meio
de levantamento bibliográfico sobre o que
há publicado acerca do tema na literatura
acadêmica nacional. Verificou-se que algumas
pessoas identificam os principais aspectos
das crianças da Nova Era no campo do
conhecimento esotérico, mas não estabelecem
relações com as características normais de
desenvolvimento infantil fundamentadas pela
psicologia. Conclui-se que existe uma forte
tendência de mistificarem-se certos temas que
acabem sendo supervalorizados pelo senso
comum por não serem analisados à luz dos
conhecimentos acadêmicos e científicos.

Abstract:
This work intends to deal with
a theme that generates interest for a certain
segment of the population but which is also
controversial for the academic community.
It seeks to cross-relate the issues that are
associated with the social-emotional attributes
of children from the so-called New Age, known
as Indigo and Crystal, to the issues related to
children’s temperament and personality based
on the psychology of human development,
making considerations about the role of
educators in the development of these children.
The study was done based on a bibliographical
analysis in terms of what has been published on
the subject in the national academic literature.
It has been found that some people identify the
main aspects of New Age children in the field
of esoteric knowledge, but do not establish relationships with the normal characteristics of child development based on psychology.
We conclude that there is a strong tendency to mystify certain themes that are overvalued by common sense because they are not analyzed in the light of academic and
scientific knowledge.
