CRESCIMENTO INICIAL DE TRÊS PROCEDÊNCIAS DE PARICARANA (Bowdichia virgilioides Kunth.) MONITORADO EM CERRADO DE BOA VISTA, RORAIMA
Este trabalho foi desenvolvido com o objetivo de monitorar o crescimento inicial de três progênies de Bowdichia virgilioides, oriundas de matrizes ocorrentes em três populações naturais do cerrado de Roraima. O estudo foi realizado no período dos 26 aos 44 meses pós plantio em intervalos de seis meses e compreendeu quatro medições de altura e diâmetro de plantas de paricarana estabelecidas em Boa Vista, Roraima. As plantas obtidas de sementes vindas do Taiano, aos 44 meses cresceram relativamente mais em diâmetro enquanto as originadas da cidade de Boa Vista em altura. Os resultados obtidos de monitoramento do crescimento em altura e diâmetro das plantas de paricarana, oriundas de três procedências indicam incremento médio mensal de 3,4 cm em altura e de 0,8 cm em diâmetro em 18 meses. Verifica-se que o desenvolvimento em altura e diâmetro das plantas, das três procedências, apresenta crescimento diferenciado nos 44 meses de monitoramento em campo.

Abstract:
This work was developed with the objective of monitoring the initial growth of three progenies of paricarana, originating from matrices occurring in three natural populations of the cerrado of Roraima. The study was carried out from 26 to 44 months after planting at intervals of six months and comprised four measurements of height and diameter of paricarana plants established in Boa Vista, Roraima. Plants obtained from seeds from Taiano, at 44 months of age, grew relatively more in diameter while those from Boa Vista in height. The results obtained from monitoring the growth in height and diameter of paricarana plants from three provenances indicate an average monthly increase of 3.4 cm in height and 0.8 cm in diameter in 18 months. It is verified that the development in height and diameter of the plants, from the three provenances, presents differentiated growth in the 44 months of field monitoring.
