COURAGE TO TAKE OFF: IS A VACINE THE KEY?

As we are seeing more and more countries setting up a vaccination protocol, it is expected that the world may return to its normal course and aviation could see a steady increase as the passengers feel safe enough to fly. Nevertheless, will the vaccine be enough? Will the different vaccination protocols in each country impact travelling patterns? These aspects need to be explored in order to predict passenger behaviour and detail strategies to achieve a solid future. This sector saw an unprecedented impact in the number of passengers flown and in airline revenue, and who knows how the vaccine might change these trends.

This is where our research can allow us to understand how and in which way the will of the people is pending to, and in order to do that, we established a research design and methodology divided in several stages and following these steps: Literature review, collection of information, readings, literature research on the topic and an exploratory stage where the questionnaire technique will be used by the audience target. The analysis begins with the collection and interpretation of secondary information to characterize the object of study- passengers and public in general. It is expected that the vaccine will be a key element in returning to a functioning aviation sector, nevertheless, we predict that the road ahead is still very strenuous.

This vaccine won’t be taken by everyone at the same time which may difficult passenger flow, also as this is an elective procedure, we could see a big part of society not being prone to taking it. Will this mean that the countries will impose mandatory vaccination?
