CORRELAÇÕES GENÉTICAS ENTRE CARACTERES VEGETATIVOS E REPRODUTIVOS DE PIMENTEIRAS (Capsicum spp.)
Objetivou-se com este trabalho,
estimar os coeficientes de correlação genotípica
(rg), fenotípica (rf) e ambiental (ra) entre 13
caracteres de pimentas (Capsicum spp.),
visando a seleção direta em futuros programas
de melhoramento genético com as espécies.
Vinte e uma sub-amostras de pimenteiras
pertencentes a Coleção de Capsicum spp.
do CCAA/UFMA, foram avaliados quanto aos
caracteres: altura da planta - AP, comprimento
do caule da planta -CCP, diâmetro do caule
da planta - DCP, comprimento da folha -
COMF, largura da folha - LARF, dias para o
florescimento - DPF, comprimento da pétala
da corola - CPCOL, dias para frutificação -
DFRUT, comprimento do fruto - CFRUT, largura
do fruto - LFRUT, largura do pedúnculo - LP,
comprimento do pedúnculo - CP e massa do
fruto - MF. Os dados obtidos foram submetidos
à análise de variância sob o delineamento
inteiramente ao acaso e posteriormente foram
estimadas as correlações genéticas entre os
pares de caracteres. Verificou-se que para
maioria dos pares de caracteres avaliados,
os coeficientes de correlação fenotípica,
genotípica e ambiental obtiveram os mesmos
sinais e com todas as correlações com elevada
magnitude (acima de 0,90). A maior associação
ocorreu entre LP e DCP (0,9952**), as demais
associações tiveram a mesma magnitude
e probabilidade. As correlações estimadas
propiciaram o conhecimento das associações
entre os caracteres de pimentas, fornecendo
informações de que os caracteres avaliados
possuem associação positiva.

evaluate the genetic (rg), phenotypic (rf) and enviroment (re) correlations between 13
traits of the peppers (Capsicum spp.), aiming at direct selection in future breeding
programs with the species. Twenty - one samples of peppercorns from the “Coleção of
Capsicum spp. Of the CCAA / UFMA” were evaluated under greenhouse conditions.
The evaluated traits were plant height - PH, plant stem length - PSL, plant stem diameter
- PSD, leaf length - LL, leaf width - LW, days for flowering - DF, length of corolla petal
- LCP, days for fruiting - DF, fruit length - FL, fruit width - FW, peduncle width - PW,
peduncle length – PL and fruit mass - FM. The data were submitted to variance analysis
under the completely randomized design and later the genetic correlations between the
pairs of trait were estimated. It was verified that for most of the pairs of trait evaluated,
the phenotypic, genotypic and environmental correlation coefficients obtained the
same signals and with all correlations with high magnitude (above 0.90). The largest
association occurred between LP and PDD (0.9952 **), the other associations had the
same magnitude and probability. The estimated correlations allowed the knowledge of
the associations between the peppers traits, providing information that the evaluated
characters have a positive association. association.
