CORRELAÇÕES ENTRE AS CONDIÇÕES DE SAÚDE E TRABALHO DE FRENTISTAS DE POSTOS DE COMBUSTÍVEL NA CIDADE DE JOÃO PESSOA-PB
O campo da “Saúde Pública” tem
como finalidade a intervenção nas relações entre
o trabalho e a saúde, com atuação na promoção,
proteção e reabilitação do trabalhador, traduzida
nas ações de vigilância dos riscos nos ambientes
e condições de trabalho. O estudo tem como
objetivo analisar o processo de trabalho dos
frentistas de postos de gasolina e correlacionálo com a saúde destes trabalhadores. Durante
as aulas do módulo de ISEC IV os alunos do
4º período da turma B discutiram e refletiram
na sala de aula sobre a Saúde do trabalhador.
A turma foi dividida em subgrupos contendo 4
alunos cada, ficando cada grupo responsável
para entrevistar um trabalhador. Foi elaborado
um questionário para ser aplicado junto a
frentistas de um posto de combustíveis em João
Pessoa. Os resultados proporcionaram maior
conhecimento sobre a profissão dos frentistas e
como a saúde dos mesmos podem ser afetadas
devido à exposição crônica a agentes químicos
nocivos e outros aspectos que podem também
trazer malefícios à saúde, como jornadas longas
e falta de intervalo. É necessário fiscalização da
avaliação individual da Saúde do Trabalhador e
de iniciativas que visem a Educação em Saúde
como método de prevenção e elaboração
de ações educativas, bem como a ampliação
da participação da Vigilância em Saúde do
Trabalhador e do CEREST que têm o papel de
prover retaguarda técnica especializada para
o conjunto de ações e serviços da rede do
Sistema Único de Saúde- SUS.

Abstract:
The field of “Public Health” has
as purpose the intervention in the relations
between work and health, with action in the
promotion, protection and rehabilitation of the
worker, translated in the actions of vigilance
of the risks in the environments and working
conditions. The objective of this study is to
analyze the work process of gas station workers
and correlate it with the health of these workers.
During the ISEC IV module classes the students in the 4th period of class B discussed
and reflected on the worker’s health classroom. The class was divided into subgroups
containing 4 students each, each group being responsible for interviewing a worker. A
questionnaire was drawn up to be applied to fueling workers at a fuel station in João
Pessoa. The results provided greater insight into the professions of health workers
and how their health can be affected by chronic exposure to harmful chemicals and
other aspects that can also lead to health hazards such as long journeys and lack of
interval. It is necessary to supervise the individual assessment of Occupational Health
and initiatives that aim at Health Education as a method of prevention and elaboration
of educational actions, as well as the expansion of the participation of Vigilance in
Occupational Health and CEREST that have the role of providing specialized technical
rearguard for the set of actions and services of the Unified Health System-SUS network.
