Abstract: This study analyzes the role of cooperativism in agriculture in Paraíba between 2019 and 2024, high lighting its ability to adaptto the impacts of climate change. Cooperativism is presented as a strategy for sustainable development, promoting social inclusion, job and income generation, as well as productive diversification. The research adopts a qualitative and exploratory approach, based on documentary and bibliographic analysis, using data from official agencies, institutional reports, and recents cientific publications. The evolution of cooperativism in Paraíba shows growth in the number of cooperative members, Jobs created, andrevenues, even in the face of a reduction in the number of cooperatives, demonstrating greater efficiency, institutional consolidation, and professionalization of management practices. Cooperatives play a strategic role in implementing sustainable practices, such as rational water management, agroforestry systems, and there covery of degraded soils and diversification of agricultural activities. Economically and socially, cooperatives streng then productive inclusion, market access, and cooperation among producers, contributing to community resilience and reducing climate vulnerability. However, the continued strengthening of the sector dependson integrated public policies, investments in waterinfrastructure, rural credit, andtechnical training. It can be concluded that cooperatives in Paraíba not only resist the challeng esposed by climate change but are also consolidating them selves as drivers of environmental sustainability, economic prosperity, and social cohesion, representing na effective alternative for building resilient and sustainable agriculture in the state.
