Abstract: The main objective of the research is to determine whether the internal control of academic management influences the quality of professional training of fifth-year students of the commercial engineering professional career at the José Carlos Mariátegui University, department of Moquegua in 2015, Methodology, is of basic type, quantitative approach, experimental design cross-sectional, descriptive and correlative level, the survey technique of the validated questionnaire instrument was applied, to a sample of 60 commercial engineering students. Results showed that there is significant statistical evidence of 94.00% coefficient of Spearman Rho, that the internal control of academic management and the quality of vocational training, are related, to the extent that they comply with internal control in academic management will be quality vocational training, Conclusion, internal control in academic management in 2015 was unfavourable in the quality of professional training of the commercial engineering career, so it is suggested to management, design an action plan that includes internal control standards for the control environment, risk assessment, control, information and communication activities and supervision, in accordance with the University Act.
