CONTRIBUIÇÕES DOS PAYAYÁ PARA A EDUCAÇÃO NO MUNICÍPIO DE UTINGA/BA: os impactos do MAIP no desenvolvimento local sustentável.
Este artigo é resultado de pesquisa sobre Educação, Gestão e Desenvolvimento Local Sustentável, interligados abordando a temática do desenvolvimento na região de Utinga. O objetivo é destacar a importância da educação e todo o seu processo articulando no contexto cultural e histórico do município diante da luta e resistência do povo Payayá, principalmente com a criação do Movimento Associativo Indígena Payayá (MAIP) em 2010. Utilizamos o município de Utinga, no Território da Chapada Diamantina, Bahia, espaço público a ser fortalecido com novas abordagens metodológicas para a construção do saber e a transformação da sociedade. A proposta é oferecer uma visão das principais discussões em torno das relações entre a educação e a gestão do desenvolvimento sustentável. Esta escolha relaciona-se com o fato dos autores participarem do crescimento desse movimento que permanece na luta por maior espaço e oportunidades para o fortalecimento da cultura de seu povo.

Abstract:
This article is the result of research on Education, Management and Sustainable Local Development, interconnected, addressing the theme of development in the Utinga region. The objective is to highlight the importance of education and its entire process articulating in the cultural and historical context of the municipality facing the struggle and resistance of the Payayá people, mainly with the creation of the Associative Movement Payayá Indigenous (MAIP) in 2010. We use the municipality of Utinga, In the Territory of Chapada Diamantina, Bahia, a public space to be strengthened with new methodological approaches for the construction of knowledge and the transformation of society. The proposal is to offer a vision of the main discussions around the relationship between education and the management of sustainable development. This choice is related to the fact that the authors participate in the growth of this movement that remains in the struggle for greater space and opportunities for the strengthening of the culture of its people.
