CONTRIBUIÇÕES DA INTERVENÇÃO ASSISTIDA POR ANIMAIS EM UM HOSPITAL PEDIÁTRICO: UM RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA
As Intervenções Assistidas por Animais (IAA) têm se mostrado cada vez mais promissoras nos espaços de saúde, no que tange às demandas ocasionados pelo adoecimento, auxiliando nas ações de prevenção, promoção e na reabilitação da saúde. Assim, objetiva-se relatar as contribuições da intervenção assistida por animais em um hospital pediátrico. Assim, emergiu o Programa de Extensão denominado Cãopanheiro: promovendo a saúde e a qualidade de vida por meio da Intervenção Assistida por Animais no ano de 2016. Dentre as contribuições que a presença de um animal suscita, ficam evidentes a integração como coadjuvantes nos processos terapêuticos, assim como reitera-se a facilitação da socialização. Ao longo desses quase quatro anos de atuação do Programa Cãopanheiro, pode-se destacar uma média de dez atendimentos semanais para crianças que vivenciam o processo de hospitalização, sendo indireto e direto. Indireto, pois auxilia na minimização do estresse laboral junto aos profissionais da saúde e direto por permitir às crianças momentos de satisfação e descontração em lugar repleto de receios em seu imaginário.

Abstract:
Animal Assisted Interventions (IAA) have shown themselves to be increasingly promising in healthcare spaces, with regard to the demands caused by illness, assisting in prevention, promotion and health rehabilitation actions. Thus, the objective is to report the contributions of the intervention assisted by animals in a pediatric hospital. Thus, the Extension Program called Cãopanheiro emerged: promoting health and quality of life through Animal Assisted Intervention in 2016. Among the contributions that the presence of an animal raises, integration as supporting agents in therapeutic processes is evident , as well as reiterating the facilitation of socialization. Throughout these almost four years of operation of the Cãopanheiro Program, an average of ten weekly consultations for children who experience the hospitalization process can be highlighted, being indirect and direct. Indirect, as it helps to minimize work stress with health professionals and direct by allowing children moments of satisfaction and relaxation in a place full of fears in their imagination.
