Abstract: The transition of students to higher education may present challenges and require certain adjustments, numerous changes are verified. There are some programs that aim to integrate the student in academic activities, such as PIBIC (Institutional Program of Scientific Initiation Scholarships) which aims to insert students in scientific research practices, applying research methodologies and scientific writing. In this sense, the present work aims to present the contributions of the insertion of graduate students in this program, students in their training and also evaluate data of students acted as scholarship holders and produced TCCs (Course Completion Papers), verifying their participation in: articles of events, journals, in book chapters, patents and master’s theses. For this, a research was carried out from the Lattes Curricula of the researchers of the Laboratory of Composite Materials (LABCOM) of the Federal University of Pará (UFPA)and 41 students who participated as PIBIC fellows were quantified. Higher quantities were found in the form of events (161), followed by publication of articles in journals (75). Among the 13 students who produced TCC, 3 students produced master’s theses, about 23% of the total.
