CONTORNOS DE UMA IDENTIDADE CULTURAL: O ARTESANATO COMO PATRIMÔNIO DO RIO GRANDE DO SUL
Este trabalho se propõe a analisar
o percurso da construção da identidade e dos
processos de subjetivação entre os artesãos
do Rio Grande do Sul que produzem artefatos
de cunho ancestral e de referência cultural.
Interpreta a produção enquanto elemento
constituinte do patrimônio rio-grandense, como
a expressão individual e coletiva da identidade e
do território, da plástica do artefato, do tempo de
produção e da mutabilidade do objeto. Analisa
as relações estabelecidas entre o contexto de
produção dessas práticas de saberes e fazeres
artesanais, com os fundamentos teóricos do
campo do patrimônio e da economia criativa.
A metodologia inclui a análise de conteúdo
de entrevistas realizadas em etapa anterior à
pesquisa, acompanhadas de rodas de conversa
para identificar as relações afetivas e culturais
e de memória incorporadas por essas práticas
culturais. Os resultados iniciais sugerem
elementos úteis para possíveis interpretações
e caminhos para a patrimonialização do
artesanato gaúcho de referência cultural. Os
resultados parciais até aqui obtidos permitem
que se considere que a prática do artesanato
ancestral e de referência cultural confere
autonomia aos sujeitos, tanto como estratégia
de geração de renda, como por lhes oportunizar
o estabelecimento de vínculos de memória
afetiva e social entre diferentes gerações, por
meio da promoção desses fazeres e saberes e
de seus mestres.

Abstract:
This study intends to analyse
the journey to identity construction and the
processes involved in subjectivation among
the craftsmen from Rio Grande do Sul that
produce artefacts related to ancestry and
cultural reference. This study also understands
the production of crafts as an element which
is part of Rio Grande do Sul’s heritage, such
as an individual, collective, territorial identity
expression, the artefact plastics, the production
time and the mutability of the object. This analyses the relationships established in the
production context of these practices of craft doings and knowledge with the theoretical
fundamentals of the heritage field and the creative economy. The method includes an
analysis of the content of the interviews performed in a prior stage to the research,
alongside with the conversation circles aiming to identify the affective and cultural
relationships and the memories incorporated through this cultural practices. The initial
results suggest useful elements to possible interpretations and ways to patrimonise the
gaúcho’s craftwork of cultural reference. The partial results obtained so far allow the
consideration that the doing of ancestral and cultural reference craftwork gives subjects
autonomy, not only as a strategy to generate income, but also to allow bonds based
on affective and social memories to be made among different generations through
promoting the crafts doings and knowledge and its masters.
