Abstract: To address issues related to the space of literary books in the context of literacy, it is necessary to understand that the act of learning to read and literary reading are inseparable processes and must go hand in hand. Therefore, it is important that reading practices occur even before literacy students can read independently, ensuring that the educational action of using social reading practices allows the formation of proficient readers. This pedagogical action must take place through continuous work that takes into account the significance that writing has in society. Currently, children arrive at school having different types of knowledge, therefore, it is necessary for the educator to use the reading and writing of different text carriers, especially literary texts, so that the child can interact with the literate world in the beginning of their schooling. Through bibliographical research, we seek to substantiate the ideas contained in this study.
