Contextos e trajetórias da Educação Infantil no Brasil e em Portugal: direitos e desafios
A educação infantil vem, nos
últimos anos, ganhando destaque no cenário
internacional e recebendo cada vez mais
investimentos governamentais em diversos
países do globo. Muitos países têm buscado
expandir essa etapa educacional, considerando
os avanços e as pesquisas voltadas à
área. O presente trabalho busca fazer uma
reflexão acerca dos processos políticos que
influenciaram e que continuam a envolver a
história da educação de crianças pequenas
no Brasil e em Portugal. Nós realizamos uma
pesquisa bibliográfica que buscou compreender
os momentos históricos que impactaram a
educação e o cuidado de crianças pequenas
nos séculos XIX e XX. Após esta discussão,
traremos um breve histórico do desenvolvimento
da educação infantil em Portugal e no Brasil.
Por fim, traremos as características políticas
e estruturais da educação infantil que vigoram
atualmente nestas duas realidades. Neste
estudo, verificamos, na atual legislação, a
presença de ideologias que perpassaram
antigas políticas referentes à formação docente
e ao funcionamento de instituições de educação
e cuidado de crianças pequenas.

Abstract:
Recently, the child education
has gaining an international prominence and
receiving more investments in several countries
across the globe. Many countries are trying
to broadened the offer of this educational
stage, taking into account the advances and
researches in this area. The goal of this article
is to reflect on the political processes that have
influenced and still influence the history of the
young children education in Brazil and Portugal.
We carried out a bibliographical research that
sought to understand the historical moments
that impacted the education and care of small
children in the 19th and 20th centuries. After this
discussion, we will present a brief history of the
development of the early childhood education
in Portugal and Brazil. Finally, we will present
the political and structural characteristics of the
preschool education that currently correspond
to the reality of these countries. In this article, we
verified, in the current legislation, the presence
of ideologies that have crossed old policies
regarding teacher education and the operation
of the institutions of education and care of small children.
