Abstract: Abstract: The text aims to reflect on concepts and their understandings from an educational perspective – touching upon teacher training and the role of the training teacher. Through various analyses, it explores the possibilities of interpreting the landscape of both the aspiring teacher and the training educator, using concepts that intersect with the activity and encompass specific needs. The article encompasses three distinct moments which systematically address concepts and projections concerning the teaching activity in particular contexts. To support this critique, the perceptions of Michel Foucault are employed to address dimensions of power and its institutional representation, while Van Dijk's insights are drawn upon to contemplate the relationship between discourse and context, highlighting the nuances that this relationship implies about the subject being discussed. When discussing the concept of interest, Chartier is referenced, leading into the realm of the 'will to truth' – a reflection on the actions undertaken by those involved in teacher education. Lastly, the concept of utopia is employed as a parallel between the ideal perspective projected onto the symbolic image of the teaching profession and the effects it produces within society.
