Abstract: Introduction: Knowing the dietary pattern of each individual is important to understand how they are eating, as well as it is necessary to carry out the assessment of nutritional status according to age group, these indicators are significant indicators so that we can understand how this individual is composing their diet, which choices you are making daily, so that we can better define your food consumption and eating habits. The school environment, in turn, has been an opportune space, with conditions to accompany this process of construction and formation of good eating habits, through the creation of menus and the distribution of a healthy meal. Objective: To evaluate the food consumption and nutritional status of employees at a public school in Salvador-BA. Methods: This is a field research, carried out through the collection of primary data (Weight, Height, Body Mass Index diagnosis and Waist Circumference) and markers of food consumption measured through the application of the Ministry of Health form . The research is based on a convenience sample, this technique is very common and consists of selecting a sample of the studied population that is accessible and has availability/interest in participating in the research, that is, the individuals invited to this research do not need to be chosen because most of them are readily available and are interested in knowing your BMI (Body Mass Index) and knowing how your diet is and what they can improve. In the sample, there was no distinction regarding ethnicity, family income, gender, age or any type of illness to participate in the study. The results obtained were tabulated to demonstrate the graphs and tables. Results and discussion: in relation to foods considered healthy markers among teachers, it was found that 50% of participants used electronic devices during meals, 59.4% consumed beans, 90.6% consumed fresh fruit and 75% consumed vegetables the day before. In relation to ultra-processed foods, the hamburger and/or sausage group was consumed by 21.8%, with the consumption of sweetened drinks being observed in 6.25%; instant noodles recorded at 9.4% and stuffed biscuits there was a consumption of 18.75% among those interviewed. Although the majority 90.6% of the public was shown to consume fruits and vegetables, it was not possible to analyze the quantity and frequency in this study. A prevalence of overweight of 59.4% was found among participants and 15.6% of obesity. Considering that most participants reveal that they consume fruit, it would be appropriate in the future to carry out this analysis to better understand this consumption pattern. Another fact that may be contributing to weight gain is the lack of regular physical activity and sports. Final considerations: The data reveals the lifestyle adopted, as well as food choices. Even though healthy foods are present in a significant way, the school can contribute to improving the eating and living habits of its teachers and staff, and positively influence its surroundings. The repercussions on weight gain may be linked to a sedentary lifestyle, as well as the consumption of ultra-processed foods, highlighted in the study. Therefore, it is up to the school to encourage the creation of daily healthy eating habits with actions and offering healthy foods, encouraging the daily food consumption of its employees in a way that effectively contributes to health, providing a better quality of the school community.
