Abstract: This article investigates the impact of videos on social platforms on students' perception of Electrical Engineering and their intention to pursue this career. The research, of a qualitative and exploratory nature, adopts a case study based on engagement data on social networks and online forms. The videos, optimized for different age groups and interests, aim to increase audience engagement. Metrics such as views, likes, comments and shares are monitored and complemented by questionnaires to deepen the understanding of the impact of the content. The analysis triangulates this data with the theoretical framework, offering a comprehensive view of the effectiveness of the videos. The results highlight the positive role of videos in transforming students' perceptions, strengthening the connection between the University and the community and encouraging extension actions
