Abstract: The prevalence study conducted by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control in 2022/2023 identified urinary tract infections as the second most prevalent category of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). This scenario demands the implementation of effective prevention strategies supported by programs and interventions guided by the best scientific evidence. In this regard, the present work aims to contribute to clinical context training to promote the quality and safety of care, with an emphasis on the prevention of urinary tract infections related to urinary catheterization. This work aims to detail the process of developing an in-service training activity aimed at nurses in the Pediatric Clinic, focusing on the prevention of catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs). Its implementation seeks to ensure the comprehensive assimilation of all planning stages, critical evaluation, and knowledge consolidation, as well as to acknowledge the importance of educational processes in promoting the quality and safety of nursing practices. The methodology adopted for this work was based on a systematized literature review and critical reflection on the various phases of training processes.
