• Abstract: ScientificInitiation (SI) projectattheStateUniversityof Maringá (UEM) seeks to study the conservation and preservation of accessories made from plastics and different materials in fashion universities, museums and Brazilian institutions. Through research in to the historical context of the 1960s and two pioneering designers Andrè Courreges and Paco Rabanne, in the use of plastic derived from petroleum, glass and metal as the mainraw materials, there search aims to analyze the use of different materials in the creation of Brazilian accessories and their preservation, in addition to creating catalog cards that explain the textile segment, helping professionals in theareas of fashion, textile design and museums. The study Will have a theoretical-practical methodology, that is, at the beginning, images, photographs and texts from experts in the conservation of fashion pieces in museums Will beused. During the practical part, analytical methods Will beused on non-destructive textiles in which studies Will becarried out using photographs, magnifying glasses/manual and stereoscopic thread counts.
