CONSERVAÇÃO DE AVES CAIPIRAS “SURU” NA REGIÃO SUL DE MATO GROSSO, BRASIL
Os recursos genéticos animais
existentes na natureza, compõem fonte
de diversidade biológica e de variabilidade
genética, sendo um patrimônio vital para a
espécie humana. A conservação deste material
refere-se a uma estratégia fundamental para a
preservação da sua base genética. Objetivou-se
avaliar uma proposta de conservação in situ de
aves caipiras, desprovidas de pigóstilo (Suru),
oriundas de criadouros da região sul de Mato
Grosso, Brasil. A Proposta estudada consistiu
numa importante atividade de difusão de
conhecimento científico junto aos acadêmicos
e produtores, participantes do projeto. Fazse necessário o estudo das características
produtivas e fisiológicas das aves Suru, de
modo que, a permitir o fomento da atividade
criatória e impedir a extinção dessas aves.

Abstract:
The animal genetic resources
existing in nature, make up a source of
biological diversity and genetic variability,
being a vital patrimony for the human species.
The conservation of this material refers to a
fundamental strategy for the preservation of its
genetic base. The objective of this study was to
evaluate a proposal for the in situ conservation
of white birds, devoid of birds (Suru), from
breeding farms in the southern region of
Mato Grosso, Brazil. The proposal studied
consisted in an important activity of diffusion
of scientific knowledge among the academics
and producers, participants of the project. It is
necessary to study the productive and physiological characteristics of the Suru birds,
so that, to allow the fostering of the productive activity and prevent the extinction of
these birds.
