Abstract: The health worker (Doctors, nurses, non-clinical, administrative personnel), due to their daily activity, are at risk of accidentally acquiring an infectious disease. The objective of this review was to explore the importance of knowledge and management of Infectious Biological Hazardous Waste. (RPBI) compliance with NOM-087-SEMARNAT-SSA1-2002 to propose a study of the personnel who work at the First Level of Care, San Francisco de Campeche, Campeche., in the area of Preventive Medicine. It was found that they do not correctly classify Hazardous Waste due to lack of knowledge of it. An Evaluation Certificate was applied to strengthen the first level of care. It was found that they do not correctly classify Hazardous Waste due to lack of material resources.
