Abstract: Objective: Specify the relationship between the level of knowledge about oral health and oral hygiene in pregnant women at the Coata Health Center in Puno. Materials and Methods: Non-experimental, relational, prospective, transversal, observational research. The sample was 50 pregnant women selected by inclusion criteria. The techniques used were the survey and clinical observation; and the instruments were the questionnaire validated by experts and for oral hygiene, the Green and Vermillión index. The hypothesis was tested with the non-parametric Pearson chi-square test. Results: Of the 4.00% of pregnant women who presented poor oral hygiene; 4.00% presented a regular level of knowledge about oral health. Of 86.00% of pregnant women with regular oral hygiene; 2.00% had poor knowledge about oral health, 72.00% had fair knowledge and 12.00% of the pregnant women had good knowledge about oral health. 10.00% of pregnant women with good oral hygiene; 8.00% of the pregnant women had poor knowledge about oral health and 2.00% had fair knowledge. Conclusion: there is a statistically significant relationship between the level of knowledge about oral health and the oral hygiene of pregnant women.
