CONHECIMENTOS PRÉVIOS DE ESTUDANTES DO FUNDAMENTAL II SOBRE PLANTAS
A escola é o lugar no qual a intervenção pedagógica intencional
desencadeia o processo de ensino-aprendizagem e em relação ao ensino de
Ciências e Biologia, a aprendizagem de conceitos não pode ser o único caminho
para obtenção de conhecimento. No caso do ensino de Botânica é necessário que
ultrapasse a simples utilização de informação presentes nos livros didáticos e em
fontes virtuais, fazendo uso de aulas práticas na sala de aula, em laboratório e,
especialmente, em campo, de modo que contribua com a relação homem-natureza.
Esse trabalho teve o objetivo de investigar a concepção sobre plantas com base nos
conhecimentos prévios de estudantes do Fundamental II. Para analisar o
conhecimento que os alunos tinham sobre as plantas e se estas são seres vivos, foi
realizado um questionário de caráter quali-quantitativo, ou seja, com abordagens
objetiva e subjetiva. Ao analisar as respostas, observou-se que a maioria dos
alunos respondeu as perguntas de maneira reducionista e curta, muitas vezes
associando o conceito de ser vivo ao ciclo de vida das plantas, evidenciando erros
conceituais e, principalmente, inconsistência em suas concepções quanto a
definição de vida.

Abstract:
The school is the place in which the intentional pedagogical intervention
triggers the teaching-learning process and in relation to the teaching of Sciences
and Biology, the learning of concepts can not be the only way to obtain knowledge.
In the case of Botany teaching, it is necessary to go beyond the simple use of
information present in textbooks and virtual sources, making use of practical
classes in the classroom, in the laboratory and especially in the field, so that it
contributes to the relationship man-nature. This work had the objective of
investigating the conception about plants based on the previous knowledge of
students of Fundamental II. In order to analyze the knowledge that the students had
about the plants and if these are living beings, a qualitative-quantitative
questionnaire was carried out, that is, with objective and subjective approaches.
When analyzing the answers, it was observed that most of the students answered
the questions in a reductionist and short manner, often associating the concept of
being alive to the life cycle of the plants, showing conceptual errors and, mainly,
inconsistency in their conceptions regarding definition of life.
