The objective of the present study is
to discuss a knowledge perspective, assumed
in higher education from the market logic,
with an emphasis on management. It raises
the discussion about the adequacy of HEIs
to the demands of the market, which results
in adaptations in the management of these
institutions, oriented with practices similar to
those used in commercial organizations. It also
presents changes in the training model to be
adopted and new requirements for teachers.
For this, we analyzed authors who emphasized
organizational knowledge and proceeded to
critique them

Abstract:
The objective of the present
study is to discuss the construction of scientific
knowledge in higher education highlighting the
influence that market logic exercises on the
same in these institutions and the role of the
teacher. Thus, it raises the discussion about
the adequacy of HEIs to market demands that
result in: adaptations in the management of
these institutions for practices similar to those
used in commercial organizations; changes in
the training model to be adopted; new demands
on teachers.
